Strokestown Heritage Centre
Strokestown, Roscommon
This former Church of Ireland built in 1819, is on the site of an earlier church dating back to 1754. The heritage centre is sited in the heart of Roscommon near the great complex of monuments at Royal Rathcroghan, the birthplace of Percy French, the ancient Cathedral site if Elphin and a host of other notable antiquities.

Delvin is a picturesque village, approximately 13 miles north of Mullingar on the N52. Delvin Castle, situated on the southern approach to the town was built in the 13th century by the Norman family, Nugent. In the surrounding area, is Clonyn Castle, now home to Delvin Golf Club. This 19th century weaving factory beside the Old Ulster Canal has a fine array of machinery used in linen making such as the warping, weaving, dyeing and beetling processes. Industrial machinery from the period 1850 to 1950 which includes two steam engines.
