St Brecan's Ruins - St Columb's Park

The ruins in St Columb's Park are of the chapel of St Brecan, rebuilt by Redmond O'Gallagher, Bishop of Derry from 1569 - 1601. When Archbishop Colton made his tour of inspection in 1397 he crossed the Foyle from Derry and came to the 'parish church of St Brecan situated in the lands of Clone'.
